Last night was just brilliant.
My mate Beth had mentioned a lampshade making event at Cath Kidston, Manchester that sounded almost too good to be true. It was a mere snip of a price at 15 pounds, and that included the lampshade kit, ones choice of CK fabric and refreshments. No brainer!
kit plus our choice of fabric |
The choosing of fabric was rather tricky, I am sure you would have struggled to choose just one patterned fabric, out of all the CK fabrics. Strangely (but probably not that strange), Beth and I chose the very same fabric.

We watched the expert at work. She made it look very easy and actually, it was!

I cannot tell you how pleased I am with my finished shade particularly as I have had this gorgeous base hanging around for weeks.
It is one of those things, now I have done one I am keen to make many more.....watch this space.
Look out for any Cath Kidston events, they are something special, and you get to shop!!
Thanks for reading. x

ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful lamp! The fabric that you have chosen is gorgeous. It's really difficult to find a lamp you like (especially as they can be so expensive) so making your own is a great idea.
