Sorry I missed you yesterday. I was winding down after an utterly brilliant weekend.
Vintage Village was amazing, just wonderful. Loads of people came to visit the Oooh Betty stall.
I was most pleased to meet Adele who sold me my lovely handy stool.
Also I had the great pleasure of chatting with Lynn of Doodley Birds fame. Check out her write up on the fair!
I arrived home exhausted but content.
When I bounced (dragged myself) through our front door I was greeted by a rather excited Mr Betty (not that kind of excited.....purrlease). He had a present for me!!
Before I tell you about the grand surprise I will share some stall pics with you.
I had a really good day for sales, sold all my vanity cases and sold my sewing stool.
Truth be told I virtually sold out. I came home with one box of stock......such a good feeling.
Before I reveal Mr Bettys big surprise I should just mention my panties.
This is a stage in my kitty overhaul plans (the word plan makes it sound more efficient than it actually is).
I am now going to package my kitties wearing nothing but a pair of big knickers. They will also have a complete outfit and, as before, a satchel.
My mother has been busy over in the sweat shop annexe making little knitted panties in pretty underweary colours. She is ace!
So.....
I am now going to show you the bestest gift I have ever received in all my 21 years of life (shut it).
Can you flippin believe it??
Mr Betty has bought me a flippin caravan.
I don't think he could have chosen any better. It has glass windows, a stable style door and it is the perfect shape ( to me anyway).
It needs a lot of work to the interior but that is what I wanted...a project.
We have already started stripping it all out and i will take some pics of the interior once I am able to.
I don't know whether I will be able to sleep tonight. It is like Christmas but without sprouts :)
Tonight I will mostly be looking at caravans.
Thanks for reading. X
Posted using IPad and half my brain.
I'll start with the pants...genius! And perfect colours...will the boys have y fronts?? The caravan....Mr Betty has surpassed himself but I think he needs to be aware he may never see you again....x x x x x x x
ReplyDeleteOhhh has he got gas mantle lights? He looks just like a smaller version of dogtanian our sprite musketeer from my childhood! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteOh wow! That caravan is the exact one I have on my most wanted list in my head. I tried to explain the shape and size to my husband but he just conveniently said he didn't know what I was talking about. Well done Mr Betty on producing the perfect 21st present!
ReplyDeleteLove Claire xx

PANTS!!!! He he he, think its a good idea being packaged without outfit so it can be dressed. I may have to ask for similar pants from Mr Mabel&Bean for Christmas...

ReplyDeleteHee Hee big knickers on little kitties, love it, reminds me of the big green ones we had to wear at school.
ReplyDeleteSo lovely to see you Sunday, we had a great day. I always feels as if I'm in the place I'm supposed to be when I'm at a vintage event.
Know wonder you were excited about the van its gorgeous. Don't think Philip would be impressed if I started ripping our Bluebird apart and going retro though. Enjoy it Mrs. B.
See you soon.
Love Lynn and the Doodly Birds x x x
