My Springy Thingy Giveaway.

Yay, it is my first Springy Thingy giveaway today. I have been preparing goodies all morn....I got up early!
All I want from you peeps so that you may be entered into the giveaway is to tell me the Thingy that is making you feel all Springy. Keep it clean and if the goodies are not your bag keep shtum.

Before showing you the Oooh Betty goodies I must share my Thingys that are making me feel Springy.

I treated myself to this little bowl with lid at the Fair. I thought it just perfect for our warmer seasons. It will store sugar and keep it safe from the crawlies that appear at this time of year.
I think that this cow is very Springy with her flowery Easter bonnet.

Other Oooh Betty treated me to this mug, she is always buying me prezzies.
This has to be, well actually this defo is the nicest Staff mug in the world. The little orange lid is just the icing on the cake. Tea on the go me thinks!
I am also enjoying watching the sheep and their lambs on the field opposite my house. I love how one lamb will start gambling along and then before you know it all the other lambs have formed an excited gang and they are all pelting it around. Free entertainment.
Daffodils, can't get enough of them. They are so Springy. I have bunches of them everywhere. They are in jugs, teapots, glasses and my mum keeps buying them for me which is rather lovely.

Anyhows, I am feeling better today. I had 12 hours sleep and I am like a new woman. I feel like Paula Radcliffe (exaggerating slightly).
I will not be running though.

Here are the items in my giveaway. I hope the pics ok as my Blogpress App is being an arse.
I have to keep shrinking my pics, whatever that means.

I am going to detail my items more clearly in case the pic is rubbish. I would like it if you read the following list out in the style of Jim Bowen on that darts themed gameshow (somebody help me on the name).
In 1- vintage glass buttons on a Lucky Lady button card and an Oooh Betty 'knitting on the go' needle pouch and needles.
In 2- two vintage teddy decals, use on a jar like I did or anything you fancy.
In 3- an egg cup pin cushion, pins included.
In 4- a pretty vintage hanky
In 5- ladybird book 'how to sew' (surprisingly informative) and lexicon 'SEW' cards.
In 6- a generous piece of vintage Sanderson fabric.

Here's what I did with the other piece of fabric.

Good luck everyone. I will make the draw a week today.
I hope you all like the selection of things. X

  1. WELLIES! Wellies make me feel springy! not for jumping in puddles, or for tramping through snow, or for kicking around autumn leaves, but for an idyllic Easter week in a Welsh cottage, for sloshing through dewy fields with my little beauty still in her pjs to bottle feed the lambs, for walking down country lanes picking daisies, heather, buttercups and not touching the foxglove, for playing on wet sandy beaches still too cold for sandals, and for paddling in rock pools!

Love your collection Emma, some of them remind me of our little welsh cottage, especially the fabric and the little sewing book! really love that hanky tho too!

Love your Springy Thingy and it sounds right up my street. I love Wales and the sun today is making me feel like I should be there now. If only.

  5. Well, Spring to me is all about nature rewaking after the cold of winter. Buds appearing, green shoots of recovery, young lambs and foals in fields, grass being cut on golfing fairways, oh and if my garden's anything to go by, full on squirrel porn in my willow tree!

I think I need a slinky for littlest son, but I seem to remember that they get all tangled? Have things moved on in the world of slinky manufacturing?

  10. So glad I found you guys on twitter, I'm looking forward to seeing you at the next market...anyhoo what makes me feel Springy is wearing my trench coat to go dog walking! It's a huge difference not having to wear a walking duvet, and it means that Spribg is coming!! (ooh, that and the blue tits nesting in the box outside my kitchen window) x

    1. Hello Sarah, so glad you have found my blog. I don't know anyone at the Altrincham fair so it is a bit scary.
Totally with you on the coat thing. I would quite happily set fire to my puff a jacket although I have managed to get away with a chunky cardy the last few days, just waiting for it to warm enough for the old clogs now. Bring it on!
See you on Sunday and you are officially in my Springy Thingy draw. X

  13. Cute! I am enjoying the daffs and seeing birds labouring under twigs which are twice their length. And at the risk of sounding like I'm trapped in the 50s - washing on the line (well, I did it once. It was satisfyingly Springy for a minute or two then reverted to being housework)

***To those I follow and who follow me - is my blog appearing on your dashboard? Blogger appears to be losing some blogs I follow!**
