Yay, it is my first Springy Thingy giveaway today. I have been preparing goodies all morn....I got up early!
All I want from you peeps so that you may be entered into the giveaway is to tell me the Thingy that is making you feel all Springy. Keep it clean and if the goodies are not your bag keep shtum.
Before showing you the Oooh Betty goodies I must share my Thingys that are making me feel Springy.
I treated myself to this little bowl with lid at the Fair. I thought it just perfect for our warmer seasons. It will store sugar and keep it safe from the crawlies that appear at this time of year.
I think that this cow is very Springy with her flowery Easter bonnet.
Other Oooh Betty treated me to this mug, she is always buying me prezzies.
This has to be, well actually this defo is the nicest Staff mug in the world. The little orange lid is just the icing on the cake. Tea on the go me thinks!
I am also enjoying watching the sheep and their lambs on the field opposite my house. I love how one lamb will start gambling along and then before you know it all the other lambs have formed an excited gang and they are all pelting it around. Free entertainment.
Daffodils, can't get enough of them. They are so Springy. I have bunches of them everywhere. They are in jugs, teapots, glasses and my mum keeps buying them for me which is rather lovely.
Anyhows, I am feeling better today. I had 12 hours sleep and I am like a new woman. I feel like Paula Radcliffe (exaggerating slightly).
I will not be running though.
Here are the items in my giveaway. I hope the pics ok as my Blogpress App is being an arse.
I have to keep shrinking my pics, whatever that means.
I am going to detail my items more clearly in case the pic is rubbish. I would like it if you read the following list out in the style of Jim Bowen on that darts themed gameshow (somebody help me on the name).
In 1- vintage glass buttons on a Lucky Lady button card and an Oooh Betty 'knitting on the go' needle pouch and needles.
In 2- two vintage teddy decals, use on a jar like I did or anything you fancy.
In 3- an egg cup pin cushion, pins included.
In 4- a pretty vintage hanky
In 5- ladybird book 'how to sew' (surprisingly informative) and lexicon 'SEW' cards.
In 6- a generous piece of vintage Sanderson fabric.
Here's what I did with the other piece of fabric.
Good luck everyone. I will make the draw a week today.
I hope you all like the selection of things. X
WELLIES! Wellies make me feel springy! not for jumping in puddles, or for tramping through snow, or for kicking around autumn leaves, but for an idyllic Easter week in a Welsh cottage, for sloshing through dewy fields with my little beauty still in her pjs to bottle feed the lambs, for walking down country lanes picking daisies, heather, buttercups and not touching the foxglove, for playing on wet sandy beaches still too cold for sandals, and for paddling in rock pools!
ReplyDeleteLove your collection Emma, some of them remind me of our little welsh cottage, especially the fabric and the little sewing book! really love that hanky tho too!
Thanks HBH, my first entrant!
DeleteYou might be in with a good chance as you are, at the moment, my only entrant.
Love your Springy Thingy and it sounds right up my street. I love Wales and the sun today is making me feel like I should be there now. If only.
Emma. X
Vintage sheets are my springy thingy - never thought I'd find some and then two lots in one week!!!! Your giveaway goodies look fab! Hope I win, then I would feel even more springy!
ReplyDeleteLiz @ Shortbread & Ginger
Oh yes, vintage sheets. I am seeing them hanging on the line, blowing in the wind.
DeletePerfect springy thingy me thinks. X
Daffodils definitely make me feel springy!!And seeing new born lambs with their mums in the fields round and about!!
ReplyDeleteI would love to be entered in your draw and would love the ladybird sewing book.
Hi Anne, thanks for entering my giveaway. I have an addiction to Ladybird books. They are totally brill.
DeleteI actually learnt a trick or two from my 'learning to sew' book.

I was going to comment, but then realised I'd be the only bloke so have taken the decision to keep quiet, but Bullseye is the answer....
ReplyDeleteAhhh, Simon be brave. I have a male follower who loves Land Rovers....can't get more blokey than that. Thanks for the Bullseye info, used t love that programme. Always a jet ski as a prize.
DeleteWhat arevyou into then? Could do a male inspired giveaway??
Emma. X
Well, Spring to me is all about nature rewaking after the cold of winter. Buds appearing, green shoots of recovery, young lambs and foals in fields, grass being cut on golfing fairways, oh and if my garden's anything to go by, full on squirrel porn in my willow tree!
ReplyDeleteWhat an image we have all been left with! Haha.
DeleteYou are officially invited to my Springy Thingy giveaway. What a beautiful picture you have painted in my mind.
ReplyDeleteMake sure you follow my blog. X
The weather getting warmer and the days getting longer are making me feel springy and hopeful :)
ReplyDeleteGreta giveaway, found you on twitter xx
Hi Hannah, only just got in to Twiiter but I am quite enjoying it.

You are officially entered in my giveaway, don't forget to follow me. X
well...in our house at the moment my 3 little poppets are really into their slinky spring!!! he was sent down the stairs several hundred times last weekened, and even went down a flight of homemade stairs (a step, a box and some books)...so slinky spring = spring to our little family XXXXX
ReplyDeleteHi Caroline, well that is truly springy!
DeleteI think I need a slinky for littlest son, but I seem to remember that they get all tangled? Have things moved on in the world of slinky manufacturing?
You are in my giveaway draw. X
they do slinky springs in coloured plastic these days, as well as metal, ours is a metal one, and we've only had one major tangle which i managed to sort...boing boing boing xxx
ReplyDeleteSo glad I found you guys on twitter, I'm looking forward to seeing you at the next market...anyhoo what makes me feel Springy is wearing my trench coat to go dog walking! It's a huge difference not having to wear a walking duvet, and it means that Spribg is coming!! (ooh, that and the blue tits nesting in the box outside my kitchen window) x
ReplyDeleteHello Sarah, so glad you have found my blog. I don't know anyone at the Altrincham fair so it is a bit scary.
DeleteTotally with you on the coat thing. I would quite happily set fire to my puff a jacket although I have managed to get away with a chunky cardy the last few days, just waiting for it to warm enough for the old clogs now. Bring it on!
See you on Sunday and you are officially in my Springy Thingy draw. X

Am I too late?
ReplyDeleteIs it wrong to enter a giveaway when you're a new pal?
Anyway - if it's ok then count me in!
Lovely.
fee x
Hi Fee, late? Absolutely not. New pals are most certainly welcome.
DeleteEmma.x
Cute! I am enjoying the daffs and seeing birds labouring under twigs which are twice their length. And at the risk of sounding like I'm trapped in the 50s - washing on the line (well, I did it once. It was satisfyingly Springy for a minute or two then reverted to being housework)
ReplyDelete***To those I follow and who follow me - is my blog appearing on your dashboard? Blogger appears to be losing some blogs I follow!**
Hi, I expect I'm too late. Never mind. I'm glad I found you anyway and have just enjoyed a good rummage around your blog (ooh er).
